Terms of service
1. Who we are
filotip is operated by FILOTIP P.C. (FILOTIP Ι.Κ.Ε.), a company registered in Greece (General Commercial Registry (ΓΕΜΗ) no. 179730914000, VAT no. (ΑΦΜ) 802622019), with its registered office at Konstantinoupoleos 9, Tripoli, Arcadia 22100, Greece ("filotip", "we", "us"). You can contact us at info@filotip.com or +30 698 994 5306.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the filotip website, apps and services: venues that register with us ("Venues"), staff members who receive tips ("Staff"), and guests who leave tips or feedback ("Guests"). By using filotip you agree to these terms.
2. What filotip does
filotip provides software that lets Guests leave cashless tips and feedback, and lets Venues offer a digital menu and manage how tips are shared. filotip is not a bank or payment institution. Payments are processed by Stripe, and payouts to Venues and Staff are made through Stripe Connect. To receive money you must also accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date, and keep your login details secure.
- Staff must complete Stripe's identity and bank verification before any payout can be made.
- A Venue's master account holder invites and removes team members and is responsible for the Venue's settings.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud.
4. Tips
A tip is a voluntary payment by a Guest. The Guest chooses the amount and, before paying, sees the processing fee and whether they want to cover it. Once a payment is completed it cannot be cancelled by filotip, except where the law or card-network rules require a refund or chargeback.
Tips are routed according to the Venue's configuration (for example Solo, Service Area, A-Team or Filotip Way). Where a Venue chooses payouts to the business, tips are paid to the Venue, and the Venue is solely responsible for passing them on to its staff in line with employment and tax law.
5. Fees
There is no subscription fee for Staff. A processing fee applies to each tip and is shown to the Guest before payment. Any fees payable by a Venue are set out in that Venue's separate agreement with us.
6. Payouts
Payouts are made by Stripe to the bank account you have verified, according to Stripe's payout schedule. We are not responsible for delays caused by Stripe, banks, or incomplete verification.
7. Taxes
Each Venue and Staff member is responsible for their own tax obligations on the amounts they receive. We may provide statements of transactions to help with this.
8. Guest feedback and content
Guests may leave ratings and comments. Feedback is shown to the relevant Venue and may be used by the Venue to improve its service. You must not post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or that identifies other people without their consent. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use filotip for fraud, money laundering, or any unlawful purpose; interfere with or try to gain unauthorised access to the service; or copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep filotip available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update or change features. If we make material changes to these terms we will give notice on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, filotip is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by third-party services such as Stripe, banks or card networks. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using filotip and ask us to close your account at any time by emailing info@filotip.com. Amounts already collected will be paid out subject to Stripe's rules.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Tripoli have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights consumers have to bring proceedings where they live.
