Cashless tipping for every part of your hotel

Give guests a way to recognise good service, from reception to housekeeping, even when they have no cash.

One hotel, different service moments

A guest may want to thank the person who prepared their room or the team at the pool bar. Personal QR codes and shared service-area codes support different ways to collect tips.

Decide what each code represents before placing it in a room or service area. Explain who receives the tip so guests can make an informed choice.

Choose clear rules for your team

Individual tipping recognises a specific staff member. Shared tipping collects tips for eligible members of a team or service area. The allocation depends on the distribution rules you configure.

For example, a hotel might use personal codes for individual service and a shared code for the pool-bar team. This is an example setup, not a customer case study. Confirm the available rules with filotip and explain them to your team.

Prepare for launch

  1. List the teams and service areas that will accept tips.
  2. Agree allocation rules and whether payouts go to staff or the business.
  3. Invite staff and complete the required account verification.
  4. Check each QR code and show staff the guest payment flow.

Bank payout timing depends on the connected Stripe account and verification status. Creating a QR code is not the same as completing payout verification.
